 was first developed as a commercial product for airports and atomic power plants. Their stringent regulations required a lower melting temperature and non-corrosive factors on concrete and metals. It also had to be safe around humans, animals and vegetation. Safe Thaw™ as been tested for FAA approval for runway and helipad de-icing. It has undergone extensive testing by FAA certified laboratories for corrosion, conductivity, and effects on transparent plastics among others.
Safe Thaw™ works like no other ice/snow melter. It is totally unique and uses a patented dual-effect compund that gives a two-way time-release action. The liquid compound starts melting instantly while the crystal core speeds up the melting process.
Safe Thaw™ attracts heat in an "endothermic" reaction to harness the sun's energy to provide extra melting power. It leaves an invisible protective shield, which prevents ice from sticking to the surface causing a "teflon effect". This teflon effect makes shoveling easier.
